Finally....Christmas - Part 3

Our last chapter of Christmas is a trip to Duncan, where my Mom just goes above and beyond. So much food, so many gifts, and a lot of love and good times.
The McDaniels and Lairds had already been there for a day so by the time we got there everyone was ready for the gifts. So into them we dove. Leia and I played Santa so I didn't get very many pictures.
This is one of the things that Riley asked Santa for....a new bike. It is so cute, it looks like a small moped (we will have to keep Aunt Lori off of it...hahahaha!!! Inside joke.) She can't get the pedals going yet but we are practicing and she loves to sit on it and scoot with her feet.
Here's older cousin showing younger cuz how it is to been done.
Everyone was pooped out after all the gifts.
Nate doesn't always cry when Cash it around.
One small mud hole in a huge yard and guess who finds it!!!
What Aunt CC?? I don't know how this got here.
Mom, I didn't do it.
Well I didn't get as many pictures has I would have liked too. There was just so much excitment you don't have time. Anyway, thanks Mom and Dad for all the Christmas, we love you very much!!! Thanks Lairds and McDaniels we love everything, even you all!!! :)
Happy New Year!!!

Christmas Story - Part 2
So we decided to stay home for Christmas morning so that Santa could visit us at home. Riley and I went to Walmart to pick out cookies for Santa and a mug for him to drink milk from. We decided to go with the gingerbread man. She had soooo much fun decorating, I think we will keep this as a yearly tradition.
Here she is sitting them out for Santa. She was sooo proud of them.
Christmas morning.
First thing she did was check the cookie.

She loved her tea set. Yes it's glass and yes she has already broke one plate.
Her big Santa present was a trampoline. She was so excited, she wanted to go right out and jump. Thank goodness for good weather.

Colt's favorite part was the candy canes. Yummy.

Well we hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I'll let everyone take a look at this story before I move on to the next chapter of our Christmas story.

Christmas
Part One of Three

Our Christmas Story is a long one so bear with me and keeping checking in for the next edition.

We start our Christmas story out in Pampa with Mimi, Pawpaw, Uncle Del, Aunt Stephanie, Addison and Brooklyn. Mimi always has fun things and neat stories to share with us at Christmas. She really does a great job of reminding us that Jesus is the reason for the season. The girls started the day by making a gingerbread house. They love this, but I'm not sure if it's the decorating or the eatting of the candy that they love the most. Later that night the girls followed the star to Bethlehem and found Baby Jesus laying in the manager and then they heard a story about a boy named Wally and how he gave up his room at the Inn for Mary and Joseph. We had a great time and got a lot of gifts.

Taking a little break from building to taste test the frosting.

Even Colt got in on the test.

I think it passed!!!

The end results this was right before the roof fell off. :)
Riley had so much fun (or is it the sugar high making her this happy).

Riley really got into the gifts this year. Which I think makes it funner for all of us. Colt on the other hand loved the wrapping paper but not so much the gifts.

Checking Dad's heart with the new Dr. kit.

Brooklyn loves to smell Colt's head it is the funniest thing.

Addison jammin out on her new Hannah Montana guitar.
Well it's Christmas Eve today and we will be home tonight for Santa in the morning (which is part 2 of our Christmas) and then we will head out to Duncan tomorrow afternoon for part 3. I hope that everyone has a Blessed and a safe Christmas. I can't wait to see all the new blogs next week. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!

1. I love Uggs but think I look like an idiot in them.

2. I'm secertly trying to think of my batting song. (Read Sam's Blog) Do you think they would play Chain of Fools by Aretha Franklin.

3. I love concession stand food. Nachos, pretzels, hotdogs, popcorn, corndogs...whatever I love it!!!! Sometimes I go to sporting events and carnivals just so I can eat the concession food.

4. I really and truly like my job. I don't mind getting up for it at all!!! Sometimes I even coming looking like I just got out of bed, but it's ok there's NO DRESS CODE!!!!

5. I love to dance and sing, but I can't do either very good at all. If I could sing good I would never talk again I would just sing what I wanted to say!!

Look who's soooo Big!!!!
More fun times with Gigi's jewels!!!
Here's Riley putting her jewels to work while playing with Mimi!

So I'm having a "Throw back Thursday"
I'm pretty much hit and miss on the throw back. Well let's say mostly miss, but we were talking about our favorite Christmas memory in Sunday school last week and I remembered the Christmas of the BIG WHEEL, Dukes of Hazzard Big Wheel to be exact. While I was going through some pictures look what I found. Me and the Big Wheel!!! I think that I even got the Daisy Duke under-roos that year too. Christmas memories are the best!!!
If you look closely you will see a bandage on hand, another one of the injuries inflicted while my Dad was babysitting.

Christmas Program Debut!!!!
This weekend was Riley's first ever Sunday school Christmas Program. She did a pretty good job. No singing was done by her but I was pretty proud that she got up there and stood through about 6 songs. She did a great job and I can't wait till she will do some performing. Every once in awhile she would turn and spot us and give us a big smile and wave. It was sooo darn cute.
I am posting a lot of pics and a pretty long video because Nana and Pop Pop weren't there for this first. Mimi and PaPa drove in from Pampa to be here.
This is Riley and her very good friend Daisy. I use to keep Daisy at our house when I was staying at home, so they go way back!!!
All that "performing" must of really wore her out, when she got back to our sits she was out within 5 minutes. It's hard working being a star!!!
