It's ridin time!!

The kids really didn't ride too many rides after the Icecapades, they were pretty pooped. I think a nap and then rides would have been great, but that just didn't happen. Here are a few pics I got, I think you can tell Cash is pretty sleepy.

I think this is the ride that put them to sleep. They actually had to paddle their way around this river....TWICE. I'm not sure who was going to fall asleep first them or Mom and I. You would have thought some jets or something would be moving the water...no we think we saw jets but the water was not moving.

I thought these were cute. I tried to get them to do more, but they were having none of that.

Cash was just a little short for this one.

Wordless Wednesday!!

ICECAPADE OVERLOAD!!!!

This past weekend we (Nana, Riley, Cash and I) took a little trip on over to the "Great State Fair of OKlahoma" (that was me singing the commercial) We took in a show, some rides, and some food. Although I didn't take in any food cause I couldn't decide what I wanted......if anyone wants to donate oh let's say 1,000 bucks I will be more than happy to walk around the state fair and have a little something from each booth and let you know which one is best :) I'm just saying I would be happy to take that task on!!! Anyway back to the pictures. We started off by hitting Dunkin Donuts....you must have breakfast!!
So then off to the fair for the ICECAPADES!!!
It started off soooo good. Everyone was sooo excited and couldn't wait for it to begin.......
Then Mickey and the gang came out with a backfiring car and smoke.......
and the fun was over!!!! For Riley anyway........
Cash couldn't take his eyes off the ice and Mom was happy that at least one of her grandkids was going to enjoy this.
First up was "Cars". They were very cute. Cash loved them, when they left the ice and the next act came out he was asking for Cars again.
Next up was "Little Mermaid". This was Mom and I's favorite. It was sooo cute and Riley would have loved it if only she would have taken her hands off of her eyes!!! Cash was eatting it up, never took his eyes away. He was sooo good.
Next came "Lion King", also very good.
Look who starts to peek......Notice Cash still glued to the ice.
After Lion King was over there was a short intermission and Mom got the kids some fun toys to take home. They were so happy......
UUMMM maybe NOT.......
The GRAND FINALE was "Tinkerbell"
Now look who can't take her eyes off the ice....maybe it's not so scary after all.
That's Tinkerbell in the white before she gets her talent....just in case you didn't know.

Cash did start to get a little bored halfway through Tinkerbell....he is a boy after all. Good thing for the new toy!!

And here is the forest after Tink has saved Spring.

Here's a little video for you. Pretty sure we will go back again next year!!

video

Thanks Mom for the tickets and toys. We had a great day!!! I'll post actual fair pictures later this week.

Labor Day just a little late

"This is how I roll."
A lot of food.....a little clean up.
Dad laying down the law......HA! Can't you see they are all listening so intently!!
Pop Pop's form of exercise. Yes that is a hover round scooter!!!
Got to start them young.
We even got to swim. Mom and Dad had the pool heated to 87 degrees it was soooo nice!!!

Family can just wear you out!!!

Saving the best for last.
Dad got this great idea to take Riley and Cash fishing with him and Uncle Larry Saturday morning. Well they got to the fishing hole and Cash and Riley decided they would rather stay in the truck after oh maybe 2 hours of fishing and 2 hours of these 2 alone in the truck. Dad comes back to find grafitti on the dash and console, the pick up turned on, Cash in the driver's seat with camo hat and sunglasses on and Riley making a few phone calls on the cell. Riley's explanation to what all had happened....."It was an accicdent Pop Pop." On the way home Dad gets a call from his foreman stating that he better be nice to those grandbabies, Dad asks how did you know I was with my grandkids?? "They've called me 3 times!!!"
Anyway I'm sure it will be sometime before PopPop takes the grandkids fishing again!!!
